about

'methexis' is an album about the continuing interplay between the one and many: imagined and written by one person, given to six musicians to be played, returned to the one for electronic processing.
the one is borda/teo ravelli, the musicians are the band aether (andrea grumelli on electric bass, andrea ferrari on electric guitar, andrea serino on rhodes and teo ravelli on drums) plus maria torelli on double bass and rosarita crisafi on flute.
the idea was to bring the jazz concept of interplay into an electronic environment and try to make different worlds (jazz, ambient, drone) collide.
all of it was recorded live in the studio (except for 'mimesis', recorded in more sessions), then processed, mixed and mastered back at distant zombie warning studio.
