about

atrabile in ancient greek medicine is one of the four humors that make up the human body and influence its existence. specifically, black bile is the one responsible for melancholy, anxiety and depression.

'atrabile' is a record about depression in its various phases, from blackness ('koma') to suffocation ('atlas'), through total despair ('achlýs'), anxiety-inducing obsession ('knōsós') and deviated perception of time ('kairos').

the work is intended to be a sound representation of one of the greatest evils that have afflicted humanity since our beginnings. it’s also the first of a tetralogy on the four humors.
